1: Orlando, FL: Did you know that many of Disney World’s theme parks will pet-sit for you while you enjoy the attractions? Disney offers five kennels: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, The Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and Fort Wilderness. The kennels charge $14-$18 a day. Insider Tip: Disney offers a pet resort, which features luxury suites, grooming, and even a doggy day camp!

2: Portland, OR: Portland is an off-leash mecca where your pooch is free to roam. The city offers 20 city parks for dogs and The City of Roses is known for its dog- friendly attractions such as the Grotto. In July, the Grotto hosts a Blessing of the Animals. You can even take your pet the Shemanski Fountain (between Main and Salmon right downtown) for a drink in low water basins.

3: New York City, NY: New York Dog Tours offers doggy-and-me excursions through Central Park. They will even take you to other parts of town with your pet including the West Side, Midtown, and downtown. If you venture over to Brooklyn your dog can take a dip at the pool in Prospect Park. And for those who like to shop your pet can escort you on trips to Saks Fifth Avenue and Tiffany’s.

4. San Diego, CA: Several beaches in San Diego allow pets. Head to Dog Beach, let your mutt roam free, and have fun throwing a frisbee to your pooch (this beach is open 24 hours!).
