Whether you\u2019re a student or not, you do deserve a break, and there\u2019s no better place to take a well-deserved timeshare getaway than Hawaii\u2019s island of Kuau\u2019i.<\/p>\n<p>No island knows romance like the Garden Isle. Readers of Travel + Leisure recently voted Kaua\u2018i as the most romantic island in the U.S. As stated in the magazine, readers chose Kaua\u2018i for its \u201cdramatic scenery \u2013 primeval rainforest and photo-ready waterfalls.\u201d The publication also noted that Kaua\u2018i \u201chas enough film credits to rival those of an A-list actor, including The Descendants, Avatar, and the steamy noir Body Heat.\u201d&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>The 40th anniversary of Elvis Presley\u2019s most famous concert, Aloha From Hawai\u2018i, was celebrated on Kaua\u2018i  with a wonderful event and fundraiser on January 18, called \u201cKaua\u2018i Loves Elvis!\u201d<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both;text-align: center\"><a href=\"\/content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Kauai2bizjournal.jpg\" style=\"clear: left;float: left;margin-bottom: 1em;margin-right: 1em\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Kauai2bizjournal.jpg?85477ee6954a0107cbc4e17c89707a92\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>In tribute to Kaua\u2018i\u2019s enduring ties to the \u201cKing of Rock \u2018n\u2019 Roll,\u201d the event at the Kauai Marriott Resort On Kalapaki Beach featured a performance by Elvis Presley tribute artist Tim Welch.<\/p>\n<p>The figures are in and Kaua\u2018i\u2019s  visitor industry enjoyed an outstanding year in 2012. Visitor arrivals to Kaua\u2018i increased by 7.3% to 1,084,868 visitors \u2013 one of our best years in recent memory. The  island\u2019s appeal was demonstrated by the fact that more than half of those visitors \u2013 587,023 \u2013 stayed only on Kaua\u2018i, an increase of 9.6%.<\/p>\n<p>International visitor arrivals to Kaua\u2018i, grew by 10.6% to 107,407 for the year.  Visitor expenditures on Kaua\u2018i  jumped  significantly by 20.1% \u2013 the best year-over-year increase of all the islands \u2013 to $1.4 billion.&nbsp;  <\/p>\n<p>Increased travel demand for Kaua\u2018i  generated more flights, as seen in the 13.5% growth in air seats for 2012. Total air seats to Kaua\u2018i is expected to increase in 2013, especially with Alaska Airlines launching nonstop service to L\u00af\u0131hu\u2018e from San Diego on June 7, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Other exciting information about Kaua&#8217;i:<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both;text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-Okgx6sgTcEI\/UTdRfRLrocI\/AAAAAAAAISA\/51GcX_eUvv8\/s1600\/Kauai+-+Tidepools+thepointguy.jpg\" style=\"clear: right;float: right;margin-bottom: 1em;margin-left: 1em\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"156\" src=\"\/content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Kauai-Tidepoolsthepointguy.jpg?d9868991b2f5090b2f4f484da0845e39\" width=\"320\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;\u25a0 Tidepools restaurant in the Grand Hyatt Kaua\u2018i Resort and Spa (see photo right), which is awarded Honolulu Magazine\u2019s prestigious Hale &#8216;Aina award for fine dining in Kauai year after year,  was also recognized as one of the top 100 Romantic restaurants in the U.S. by OpenTable. com.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;\u25a0 Kaua\u2018i Museum is hosting a \u201cHawaiian Pa\u2018ina\u201d the first Friday of every month from 11:30 a.m. \u2013 1:30 p.m. For just $15,enjoy the award winning culinary favorites of Chef Mark Oyama along with live Hawaiian music in the newly renovated courtyard.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;\u25a0 Roberts Hawaii has introduced its \u201cSunny\u201d round-trip transportation service between resorts in Lihue\/Kapaa, Poipu, and Priceville, and Lihue Airport.<\/p>\n<p>Take advantage of the many <a href=\"http:\/\/www.redweek.com\/browse\/North+America\/United+States\/Hawaii\/Kauai-timeshares\" target=\"_blank\">Kauai timeshare rentals<\/a> available.
