Hammond, Michigan.<\/p>\n<p>Also known as the Ponte Vecchio Old Bridge, this is a brick and stone arch bridge that dates back to antiquity.   The previous bridge, actually a replacement for a Roman construction, dated from 1354. It was heavily damaged by Allied action during WWII, requiring new construction in 1949.<\/p>\n<p>This newer bridge has 5 arches compared to the 7 arches of the previous bridge.
