As of December 2, things have become even more strict for travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On November 27, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaiitourismauthority.org\/covid-19-updates\/\">Governor David Ige announced<\/a> that starting December 2, all travelers arriving on Kauai will be subject to the 14-day quarantine regardless of testing. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kauai.gov\/Portals\/0\/Civil_Defense\/COVID-19\/2011135-COK_Mayor%27s%20Emergency%20Rule%20No.%2023%20%28certified%29%20-%20signed.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Emergency Rule 23 (opens in a new tab)\">Emergency Rule 23<\/a>&nbsp;temporarily pauses Kauai\u2019s participation in the state\u2019s pre-travel testing program.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/governor.hawaii.gov\/newsroom\/office-of-the-governor-news-release-kauai-mayor-to-impose-temporary-moratorium-on-its-participation-in-states-pre-travel-testing-program-%EF%85%A5-lc\/\">Read the governor&#8217;s full press release.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On November 19, the Governor also announced that starting November 24, travelers wishing to bypass the 14-day mandatory quarantine <strong>must have their negative COVID-19 test results &#8211; from a&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"trusted testing partner (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/hawaiicovid19.com\/travel-partners\/\" target=\"_blank\">trusted testing partner<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211; prior to departure<\/strong> for the State of Hawaii. If you&#8217;ve already booked, you can still go for a change of scenery, or consider reaching out to the owner to explore other options.
