Autumn is the time to rent a timeshare and spend a week enjoying a harvest of foods, fun and family memories. To help you in your hunt for the perfect pumpkin patch for your family’s timeshare vacation, we have looked at the ones available in 5 different states, and will offer them up in five different articles. Our first is Arizona.

A Phoenix timeshare or Scottsdale timeshare rental in sunny Arizona is a great place to enjoy warm days hunting that special pumpkin. Autumn in this beautiful state is lovely and inviting as the desert heat of summer fades.

MacDonald’s Ranch
Note right off that this is a “ranch” not a farm. To begin with, it is a premier horseback riding stable located in the Sonoran Desert of Scottsdale. Staying a week in your timeshare rental will give you plenty of time to enjoy all that this special place has to offer. Yup, you’ll find plenty of pumpkins (see photo)- all waiting for you to pick out in the field. You can even take a hay ride out to the field and back – an easy way to carry that giant pumpkin! There is also a maze made out of hay bales.

The ranch offers guided horseback rides. Choose from breakfast rides and dinner rides, both offering hearty cowboy fare around a campfire. For your little tykes there are pony rides as well as a petting zoo.

The fun just doesn’t stop – there are also sacks for entering the sack race, a Gem Mine, a “Western” golf game, horseshoe pits, and don’t forget to grab a ride on the authentic Stage Coach!

Schnepf Farms
This is a true farm that offers “Farm Fresh Fun.” Through out October that fun includes picking pumpkins, pumpkin decorating, and even getting to make your own scarecrow. With live music and bonfires, the “Pumpkin and Chili Party” gets started. Voted “The best family fall experience” by Phoenix magazine, and listed in the Top 5 Pumpkin Farms in the Southwest by Sunset Magazine, this is another place that could take you a week to see and do everything.

These are just a few of the activities that await you: Hay rides, miniature golf, 4 acre Sonic Burger Maze, country road rally, honeybee adventure, carousel rides, petting barn, Hillbilly Bob’s Pig Races, Flying Farmers ride (under 32″ tall), new Pumpkin Launch, new Witch Mountain giant slide, Arizona’s only gravity roller coaster (over 32″ tall), straw bale maze, Rock climbing wall, lil’ farmers play yard with lil’ farmer town, and a spectacular fireworks show on Friday and Saturday nights.

After you’ve found the perfect pumpkin, enjoy the rest of what Arizona has to offer: Day spas, golf courses, renowned museums, dining and great shopping for Southwestern art and jewelry in a city with plenty of Old West charm.

Read Part 2 – Vermont Fun and Fall Fun in the Pumpkin Patch
Read Part 3 – Halloween Fun Near California Timeshares
Read Part 4 – Wisconsin Timeshare Rentals: A Fall Family Tradition
Read Part 5 – Oahu Timeshares and the Hawaii Pumpkin Patch

Fall is such a fun time for families when you can find a great Pumpkin Patch!
